Primel (“Primel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Primel Catalog Manager, a Shopify app designed to help merchants review product catalog issues and manage SKU-related workflows.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how merchants can contact us about privacy-related requests.

1. Information We Collect

When you install or use Primel Catalog Manager, we may collect the following types of information.

Shopify Store Information

We may collect basic information about your Shopify store, such as:

  • Store domain
  • Store name
  • App installation status
  • Shopify access credentials required to operate the app
  • App usage and operational records related to catalog workflows

Product and Variant Information

Primel Catalog Manager is designed to help merchants review catalog data. To provide this functionality, we may process product and variant information from your Shopify store, such as:

  • Product titles
  • Product handles
  • Product status
  • Product and variant identifiers
  • Variant titles
  • SKU values
  • Other product or variant fields required for catalog review and controlled update workflows

Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, store domain, message content, and any screenshots or details you choose to share.

Technical and Operational Information

We may collect technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the app, such as:

  • Request logs
  • Error logs
  • App workflow status
  • Job or task processing records
  • Timestamps related to app activity

We use this information to operate the app, detect errors, improve reliability, and support merchants.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide Primel Catalog Manager functionality
  • Scan and review product and variant catalog data
  • Identify missing or incomplete SKU-related information
  • Allow merchants to review suggested updates before applying changes
  • Process controlled product or variant updates requested by the merchant
  • Maintain app security and reliability
  • Provide merchant support
  • Respond to privacy, deletion, or compliance requests
  • Comply with applicable legal and platform requirements

3. Shopify Permissions

Primel Catalog Manager only requests Shopify permissions that are required for its catalog workflows.

The app may request access to read product data and write product data so that merchants can review catalog issues and apply controlled updates when they choose to do so.

Primel Catalog Manager does not intentionally request access to protected customer data for its initial catalog management workflows.

4. Merchant Control

Primel Catalog Manager is designed around a review-before-apply workflow.

The app does not automatically change your product catalog without merchant action. Merchants are responsible for reviewing suggested changes before applying updates to their Shopify store.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

We may share limited information only when necessary to:

  • Operate the app infrastructure
  • Provide support
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Respond to valid requests from Shopify or authorized authorities
  • Protect the security, rights, and integrity of Primel, merchants, or the app

Any service providers we use are expected to process information only as necessary to provide services to us.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support security or operational needs.

If a merchant uninstalls the app, we may retain limited records for a reasonable period where required for security, compliance, backup, fraud prevention, or legal purposes.

Merchants may contact us to request deletion of applicable data.

7. Data Deletion Requests

Merchants may request deletion of applicable data by contacting us at:

We may need to verify the requesting store or account before processing a deletion request.

Primel also processes applicable Shopify privacy-related webhook requests when required by Shopify, including store deletion requests.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed by the app.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Processing

Depending on our infrastructure and service providers, information may be processed in countries or regions outside your own. By using Primel Catalog Manager, you understand that information may be processed where we or our service providers operate.

10. Children’s Privacy

Primel Catalog Manager is intended for use by Shopify merchants and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.

Continued use of Primel Catalog Manager after changes become effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
